I am having a similar issue. Premiere Pro CC 2014 is hanging often for me. Sometimes it materializes as a black playback screen, other times as no audio playing. I force quit the application and restart it. Premiere starts to load then stops at "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost.prm". I will try your solution - Could you please point me to the thread?
