Bought lightroom in November of 2013, as a download from adobe.com. Suddenly lightroom disapears from my computer, so I re-download it, but I see that adobe has changed the way it works, so I have to install creative cloud. For some reason creative cloud doesn't accept my serial number for lightroom, so now I have no way to edit my photos. I have triple-checked from different sources (adobe.com and the email I received) that my serial number is correct, but whenever lightroom prompts me to license my software, my serial code brings up the message: "the serial number you have entered is invalid..." Also, when I put my code into www.identit-e.com/adobe it said "Identit-e does not recognize this product code."
I am thinking this problem may be occurring because I purchased lightroom 5, but my creative cloud account installed lightroom 5.5. I have not seen a way to download the correct version of the software, but it looks like I need one, so can somebody please give me a link or instructions on how to go about doing that. Also, if it is feasibly possible I would also like to not have to run my lightroom through creative cloud, as it is the only adobe product I use and I don't need to store anything in the cloud.
I can answer any questions if I was not clear enough about my problem.
