The current Highlights and Shadows sliders replaced the Recovery and Fill Light sliders, and for the purpose of getting the results you saw in the video, they're close enough for you to use instead.
Because Adobe changed them as part of an overall effort to improve processing quality, you could potentially get better results with the current set of sliders than you would have with the old ones.
