I'm getting the same error (Win 7 64 bit box), and there's nothing wrong with my wired internet connection, my cabling or my firewall settings.
I also don't intend to follow the "help" provided by Romit here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1436954?tstart=30 - System Restore? Downloading unproven, probably dodgy software?
Good grief.
This a problem - one way or another - at Adobe's end. As Adobe staff, I expect you to push this to someone that can do something useful about it, Jeff.
