I have been thinking about your idea of widget that locks the system clock. What did the widget do to stop the user from using it ?
The use case i am looking at is
1. customer buys a course with a n expiry date of 12 months form now
2. They install on their own lms
3. The course expires
4. They download a new version OR a password that changes the expiry date
I would also like it to phone home for updates and advise the user that a new version exists
