As of 1 August 2014, this is still an open issue. The CC installer continues to improperly detect the StorageCraft ImageReady service and pauses the install with the message:
Please close the following applications to continue:
- ImageReady.exe
One solution that worked for me is to open an Admin command window and enter the following command:
net stop "StorageCraft ImageReady"
If this command executes properly, the following should be displayed:
The StorageCraft ImageReady service is stopping..
The StorageCraft ImageReady service was stopped successfully.
Once these messages have been displayed, the Adobe product installation can be continued. When Adobe product installation has completed, an Admin command window should again be opened and the following command entered:
net start "StorageCraft ImageReady"
Provided this command executes properly, the following should be displayed:
The StorageCraft ImageReady service is starting.
The StorageCraft ImageReady service was started successfully.
This worked for me; your mileage may vary. In the event that an issue is encountered stopping or restarting the StorageCraft ImageReady service, consult StorageCraft's support at www.storagecraft.com.
