You should start over, creating the final shape as closely as you can by ClickDragging for smooth Anchor Points and using as few as you can.
To give you an idea, there should be no more than 5 Anchor Points between the horns, with one at each end, one at each end of each (almost) straight portion, and one at the top.
You may adjust if not right from the beginning by Direct Selecting and Click Dragging.
Both when you create the path and when you adjust it, you may move the Anchor Point about by temporarily presing the Spacebar: this will freeze the Handles while you move the Anchor Point, and by letting it go you may adjust them; you may go back and forth between moving and adjusting.
