Computing is not as simple as you'd hope it to be. The latest release of Photoshop may use cutting-edge features your system doesn't yet provide flawlessly.
The fix is usually to update software - e.g., device drivers.
Rest assured that most folks ARE seeing Photoshop CC 2014.1 is as fast as any version they've run yet. For me here it's that way.
