I know this post is old, but I have the same exact problem, I followed all the steps (mac) except I dragged adobe application manager icon into the trash. Now when I try to install AAM it stops right before the installation will complete and just exits. No error messages, no nothing. Just closes and won't install. Please help me, I really need photoshop...
