how to Marque layer selection

hi,

i have a GROUP under which there are around 100 layers.

This group is like a TEMPLATE, from which i will be using 4-5 layers in every design and DELETE the rest.

Right now, after picking up the necessary layers, am manually selecting the unnecessary layers by Ctrl+clicking and then deleting (which is a big process)

Is there any way, by which you can MARQUE selection all the layers in the VIEWPORT and delete it?
