Hi John,
I have the latest version of premiere pro cs6. I don't think I have the most recent updates but I'll try that in a moment.
I have a mac OSX 10.9.3. The original clips were shot in 1920x1080 29.97fps, H.264 codec linear PCM.. I made proxies of these videos with a random youtbe setting.. it was 854x430 H.264 AAC (<--could the codec be the problem..?) I made the proxies with media encoder, made a separate output folder for them. When into premiere made all media offline, and relinked it to the proxies in the output folder. I did have to link a lot of the clips manually however..
No error message, just reallyyyy slow render time. It said 4 hours for 100 clips.
I think the issue may have been not all the media was linked to the proxies.. I relinked it and it seems to be faster now, but it's still pretty slow..
Anyway, do you know how to get the best/quickest performance out of my computer? I've had trouble with lagging clips in the past and it's very frustrating, I need to upload HD videos to youtube so that's important for exporting..but whatever I can do to make the editing time quicker would be a huge help!
Thanks for the reply!
