Hi all,
In Captivate 8, I notice that you can set a default time for each slide, with the default being 3 seconds or changeable for each project or on each slide in the Timeline.
Setting Default Duration: Best Practice?
I have 100 odd slides which are designed for the user/learner to read the text/images (on each slide) at their own pace, interact where relevant (e.g. Quiz, drag and drop, etc.), and then when they are ready, and finished with that particular slide to advance by clicking a 'Next' button (which will actually be an Interaction > Clickbox with an Action set 'On Success' to "Go to the next slide") or via the Table of Contents.
Is it best practice in Captivate 8 to set the duration to something long enough that everyone would be able to read (e.g. 5 minutes / 300 seconds) or to set the page duration at something like 10 seconds and control this via an Advanced Interaction or Effect.
Related, if I do set the default duration to say 5 minutes / 300 seconds, will this increase the file size of the exported e-learning module?
Thanks for reading this Any help is appreciated.
Cheers,
Adrian
