Like many others I've discovered that Acrobat Shared Review has stopped working ahead of the Jan '15 termination of Workspaces. While researching for alternatives I found a blog post by Rick Borstein, Hosting a Shared Review: An Alternative to Acrobat.com. I followed his guidance exactly. Everything is connected and I can initiate a shared review from Acrobat. However when my reviewers, who are outside my network, try to publish their comments they are prompted to login to webdavhost.net. This caveat is not mentioned in Rick's article. I contacted SqueakSoft's tech support and they confirm that they don't offer anonymous webdav access, citing the security risk. Also, they currently don't have the option of setting up multiple user accounts. Even if they did, the need to do this seems ridiculous, compared to the Adobe option which didn't require a login.
So how can I proceed? Of course I didn't realize this was an issue until I tried to send out a document for review. Now I have an entire group on hold waiting to publish their comments.
