A couple of years ago I purchased CS6 on a disk. It worked fine until my hard drive crashed. Now I can't get it to work any more. I tried to reinstall the disk but my computer just said "unsupported file." So I tried to download the free trial, but once again my computer said "unsupported file." (it tries to open in Adobe Reader and doesn't give me any other choices).
I read that I have to de-activate the program in order to install it on another computer, but this is not another computer, just a new hard drive. So does CS6 go by IP address or hard drive? And more importantly, which supported file or program do I use to open the dang thing??
